Matteo Ballardini graduated in Law from the Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca in October 2023.

After gaining experience in many advisory firms and utility companies, he started his collaboration with Ventimiglia Legal Firm in July 2024.

His main occupation is, currently, extrajudicial assistance in the field of D.lgs. 231/2001 and consulting and support concerning projects of adaptation with the data protection normative.

He’s also filling the position of Technical Secretariat concerning the various Monitoring Authorities ex D.lgs. 231/2001.

Marina Massabò graduated in Law in April 2024 from the Università degli Studi di Milano with a degree thesis in cybersecurity, privacy and data protection.

She’s been collaborating with the Ventimiglia Legal Firm since June 2024, mainly focusing on the predisposition and implementation of D.lgs. 231/2001’s Organisational Models, but also on consultancy and supporting projects with the purpose of adaptation to the normative concerning personal data.

Lawyer Nicola Ricciardi

Nicola Ricciardi, of counsel at Studio Legale Ventimiglia, deals with tax litigation and corporate taxation, tax transactions, over-indebtedness, voluntary disclosure, customs and excise duties.

Mr Ricciardi also provides advice on disputes relating to the art market, in which he specialises, with specific reference to taxation.

Specifically, he assists with the entire management of artistic assets, providing preventive and subsequent advice during audits by the Guardia di Finanza (Italian Financial Police) – Artistic and Archaeological Heritage Protection Unit and, more generally, during checks carried out by the tax authorities on works of art.

In addition to his litigation work, he also provides out-of-court assistance to private collectors, galleries, auction houses and art sector operators, on whose behalf he follows, in particular, the regime of operations following Brexit.

He was Legal Adviser to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department of Community Policies (2003-2005), Lecturer in tax law at the “A. C. Jemolo” Institute of Legal Studies of Lazio and member of the “Tax Litigation Study Group” at the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Turin (2013-2018).

From 2013 to 2018, he served as a member of the “Tax Law Project” at the Rome Bar Association.

Lawyer Riccardo Virga

Riccardo is the Firm’s Desk Manager in London. While pursuing a law degree, a qualification obtained at the University of Ferrara, he also gained experience as a visiting foreign student at the University of Potsdam and Berlin where he distinguished himself for his achievements in the field of contract and bond law (Schuldrecht). After qualifying as a lawyer, he completed a Master’s Degree Specializing in Tax Process Law. He is also a member of the London Bar Association (SRA). Upon completion of his academic training, Riccardo worked as a Legal Assistant at the European Parliament operating between Brussels and Strasbourg. He was, as well, Head of Institutional Relations, at the Legal Department of A.M.G. Energia S.p.A., managing issues related to relations between A.M.G. Energia, investee companies, political representatives and users. Between 2010 and 2015, Riccardo worked with an International Firm based in London, as Head of the Private Clients Department, as well as Regional Manager for Spain at the Barcelona office. He specializes in Estate Planning, Wealth Transfer and Cross-border legal assistance. As the manager in charge of the London office, Riccardo offers assistance both to local firms planning to explore other European and international markets and to Italian and foreign firms planning business expansion in the UK. He is fluent in English, Spanish and German.
